This handcrafted outdoor fire pit is constructed entirely of Cor-Ten steel. Commonly called "weathering steel" it will develop a beautifully brown layer of rust when exposed to the weather.
The weathering rust actually performs as a protective coating providing greater resistance to corrosion compared to other steels. It will be almost fully rusted when it arrives but will take another 2-4 months to completely cure.
The 30'' round pit is designed for using a 20lb propane gas tank (not included) with lava rock or decorative glass (glass or lava rock not included). The bowl for placing the media is 4'' deep.
The propane tank is hidden inside the pit and is place through a door in the side.
Everything needed to burn is included (except for the propane tank and media); an 18'' diameter burner ring, stainless steel gas line, key valve and propane regulator.
A steel fire pit cover that lays over the pit opening is also available.
You will receive this item by truck delivery. The trucking company will call and schedule a time when someone will be present to accept the delivery. They will deliver the item curbside and you will be responsible for moving it into your home.
